Reverse dieting is a strategic method of gradually increasing your calorie intake after a period of restricted dieting and calorie deficit. It aims to boost and repair a damaged metabolism and improve body recomposition. (Increasing lean muscle and decreasing body fat.) The gradual increase allows your body and metabolism to adjust instead of shocking it with a sudden surplus. With a customized plan, reverse dieting helps "reset" hormone function, regain lost muscle, improve energy levels, & increase one’s caloric maintenance.
